Service overview

What this covers, and who it's for

Every quote arrives in writing as a fixed-price proposal, designed around your building, your hours and your standards.

What it is

Medical and dental cleaning is the specialist cleaning of clinical, treatment and public-facing areas within GP practices, dental surgeries, physiotherapy clinics, aesthetic clinics and private healthcare premises, delivered against CQC-compliant infection-control protocols.

Who it's for

GP surgeries, NHS-affiliated practices, private dental surgeries, orthodontic clinics, cosmetic and aesthetic clinics, physiotherapy and chiropractic practices, and independent healthcare consultants across Greater Manchester.

When you need it

Bring us in when your CQC inspection is approaching, when an audit has flagged infection-control gaps, when your current cleaner isn't following clinical protocols, or when you're opening a new practice.

Why it matters

Clinical cleaning is not domestic cleaning with a stronger disinfectant. It requires colour-coded systems, correct dwell times, documented protocols and staff who understand cross-contamination, because getting it wrong risks patient safety and inspection outcomes.

Why this matters

The cost of leaving this to chance

The problems below are the ones we're brought in to fix week after week across Greater Manchester. Each one is preventable with the right specification and the right operator.

CQC inspections have no room for excuses

Infection control is one of the first things inspectors examine. Undocumented cleaning, wrong chemicals or visible cross-contamination is a fast route to a 'requires improvement' rating that damages your reputation.

Domestic-grade cleaners create cross-contamination

One cloth used across a treatment room and a washroom is a clinical failure. Untrained cleaners do this daily without realising.

Reception and public areas set patient trust

Patients judge clinical competence from the reception area. Smeared glass, dusty seating and neglected washrooms undermine the practice before the clinician has said a word.

Waste segregation errors are compliance failures

Clinical, sharps and offensive waste each have their own handling requirements. Cleaners who don't understand the distinctions create liability for the practice.

In detail

What this looks like on the ground

Colour-coded systems and cross-contamination control

We use colour-coded microfibre cloths and mop heads: red for washrooms, blue for general/reception, green for kitchen and staff areas, yellow for clinical rooms. Cloths are laundered off-site between visits, never reused across zones, never taken from washroom to treatment room. This is the single biggest gap in domestic-grade cleaning of clinical premises.

Treatment room cleaning between and after sessions

Between-patient wipe-downs are a clinician responsibility; our role is the deeper end-of-day and periodic clean, chairs, spittoons, dental units, X-ray equipment surfaces, floors, waste, refill of clinical consumables where appropriate. Chemicals are matched to surface, non-abrasive on dental units, medical-grade disinfectants on hard surfaces, correct dwell times observed and documented.

Reception, waiting rooms and patient washrooms

Reception and waiting areas are cleaned daily to a visibly high standard, glass, seating, floors, magazines/tablets rotated, touchpoints (door handles, self-check-in screens, card machines) disinfected. Patient washrooms follow a full clinical checklist with consumable restocking.

Waste handling and segregation

We handle general and recycling waste under the contract. Clinical, sharps and offensive waste segregation is your regulated responsibility, but we're trained to spot and never mishandle streams that are your responsibility, and we document what we've moved and where.

Why generic office cleaners struggle with clinical work

A generic office cleaning contract usually doesn't include colour-coded systems, clinical disinfectants, dwell-time discipline, or documented specifications. Those aren't extras for a medical or dental practice, they're the baseline for passing an inspection. Retrofitting them into a generic contract rarely works; it's cheaper and safer to specify them from day one.

Common questions

Answers before you ask

Are you CQC-compliant?+

Our cleaning protocols are designed to be CQC-compliant, colour-coded systems, correct chemistry and dwell times, documented specifications and signed sign-off sheets. We work alongside your practice manager to ensure our documentation aligns with your inspection framework.

Do you clean dental surgeries specifically?+

Yes, including chairs, dental units, spittoons, floors, waste, reception, staff areas and patient washrooms. Between-patient chair-side wipe-downs remain a clinician task; our role is the end-of-day, periodic and communal cleaning.

Can you clean before we open or after we close?+

Yes, most clinical cleans are delivered before the first appointment or after the last, never through clinical time.

What chemicals do you use in treatment rooms?+

COSHH-compliant, medical-appropriate disinfectants matched to surface type. Data sheets are kept on file so you have them for inspection.

How much does clinical cleaning cost?+

It depends on number of treatment rooms, frequency and specification. Every quote is returned in writing as a fixed monthly price within 24 hours.

Are your cleaners DBS-checked?+

Yes, every cleaner holds an enhanced DBS check as standard.

Can you cover single-handed practices as well as multi-chair surgeries?+

Yes, from single-consultant private clinics to multi-chair NHS/private dental practices across Greater Manchester.

How quickly can you take over from our current cleaner?+

Most practice contracts be onboarded promptly once the proposal is signed off. Faster is often possible if you're mid-inspection cycle.
