Homes For Change void clean, nicotine-contaminated property

Homes For Change, a Manchester housing co-operative, needed an exceptional tenancy turnaround. The property was heavily contaminated with nicotine residue and residents had to be moved out because of the health issues it caused. This was hazmat-level work: stubborn deposits had to be stripped back before normal cleaning could begin. We viewed and assessed straight away, started that week, and completed the turnaround in two working days.

Nicotine residue removed. Walls, ceilings, fixtures and floors washed down through repeated stages until the surfaces were sound enough for redecoration and the property smelled fresh.

Handed back redecoration-ready. Every fixture and fitting was covered, from staircases and radiators to kitchen and bathroom surfaces, ready for the landlord's decorators to move in.
